NRA Pistol Shooting, Range Qualification
This NRA second module, is the live range shooting and qualification portion of the NRA Basic Pistol and Shooting Course (approx. 2-3 hrs., when you get your pistol permit/license) will enhance your skills with your pistol. 6 OUT OF 10 PEOPLE NEED THIS TRAINING OR EQUIVALENT! YOU NEED THIS CLASS! The cost is $149.00 per person. This is a private/semi-private pistol shooting class and training is ongoing from April thru November (typically spring through fall). Shooting qualifications do not take place in the winter months because we would be at the mercy of the weather.
All 2021 range training/qualifications are held at Cassety Hollow Rod & Gun Club in Oriskany Falls, NY., or possibly on your own property. IN ORDER FOR YOU TO TAKE THIS RANGE MODULE YOU MUST HAVE TAKEN THE BASIC PISTOL CLASS FIRST FROM US OR ANOTHER NRA CERTIFIED INSTRUCTOR OR DIRECTLY FROM THE NRA AND YOU MUST HAVE A VALID NYS PISTOL PERMIT.
Please Note: 2021/2022 Lewis County regulations state that you MUST take this NRA Course within 6 months after receiving your Lewis County Pistol Permit. If you do not take a range qualification from a Lewis County Approved Instructor within the allotted 6 months you lose your permit. Call us today and we will set up a class for you.
ALL AMMUNITION IS SUPPLIED BY THE STUDENT. MINIMUM OF 100 ROUNDS! YOU MUST HAVE AN APPROVED HOLSTER AND CONCEAL CARRY GARMENT.
This course is recognized and required by many counties (including Fulton, Sullivan, Madison, and Dutchess) before a pistol permit holder will be considered for removal of the restrictions that have been placed upon your current pistol/handgun permit/license. Also, you may need this course completion certificate or our equivalent course in order to apply for your Non-Resident Florida Pistol Permit. Proficiency Requirement. You will learn almost everything you need to know about pistols/handguns. You will leave class with your Pistol Shooting Course Completion Certificate. Students review rules for safe gun handling; pistol parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from the bench rest position, and two-handed standing positions; and continued opportunities for skill development. Remember, NRA Live Fire Shooting Qualification is mandatory to fully complete the NRA shooting portion of the course and to receive your Nationally Recognized Frameable Certificate. Everyone is invited to return for this class with their new pistol to join and shoot at the range upon county approval and issuance of your permit/license.
